Azam Beg

I have earned BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering, and a PhD degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. I have diverse industrial, research, and academic experience in the fields of computer systems, control systems, integrated circuits, circuit design and testing, and applied AI/machine learning.

I worked as a test/product engineer and a team lead at Motion Control Engineering, Inc., CA. Then, I joined Flash Memory Division of Intel Corp., CA. Later, I worked in their Microprocessor Division. After that, I moved to the academia as a faculty member of the United Arab Emirates University, Al-Ain, UAE. My current role is of a data engineer/scientist in the Business Intelligence & Automation Group of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), CA.

I am the author and co-author of more than 100 research journal and conference papers, and book chapters. I have also written two textbooks. I hold four US/UK patents. I also managed several funded research projects/grants.
